Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! 🙂 Today I have a new video for you about the imperfect tense in Italian. Don’t miss this video if you are learning Italian and struggling to use the imperfect and not understanding when to use it.

Come ben sai, ci sono tantissimi tempi verbali nella lingua italiana! Oggi studieremo l’imperfetto in italiano. Ti renderai conto che non è così difficile come pensi! Vedremo insieme quando utilizzarlo, come formare l’imperfetto dei verbi regolari e impareremo l’imperfetto dei seguenti verbi irregolari:
– 00:06:29 Verbo essere;
– 00:06:45 Verbo avere;
– 00:07:11 Verbo bere;
– 00:07:30 Verbo dire;
– 00:07:46 Verbo fare;
– 00:08:03 Verbo tradurre.
As you well know, there are so many tenses in Italian! Today we’re going to study the Imperfect tense in Italian. You will realise that it’s not as hard as you think! We will see when to use it, how to conjugate the regular verbs and will learn the following irregular verbs:
– 00:06:29 Verb to be;
– 00:06:45 Verb to have;
– 00:07:11 Verb to drink;
– 00:07:30 Verb to say;
– 00:07:46 Verb to do/to make;
– 00:08:03 Verb to translate.
And here are the conjugation of some irregular verbs:

| eri | faceva | dicevi | bevevi | ponevi | traducevi |
| era | facevi | diceva | beveva | poneva | traduceva |
| eravamo | facevamo | dicevamo | bevevamo | ponevamo | traducevamo |
| eravate | facevate | dicevate | bevevate | ponevate | traducevate |
| erano | facevano | dicevano | bevevano | ponevano | traducevano |
We conjugate as:
– tradurre: condurre (to bring), produrre (to produce), dedurre (to deduce), ridurre (to reduce), sedurre (to seduce).
– porre: proporre (to propose), disporre (to organize), deporre (to put down), anteporre (to put something before), opporre (to oppose), supporre (to suppose).
–dire: benedire (to bless), contraddire (to contradict), disdire [to cancel (an appointment)], maledire (to curse), predire (to predict).
