Essere di moda (= to be fashion)

  • seguire la moda ( = follow the current fashion);
  • essere di moda / essere in voga ( = be in fashion);
  • seguire la tendenza ( = follow trends);
  • tornare di moda ( = come back in fashion);
  • passare di moda ( =go out of fashion);
  • fuori moda ( = old-fashioned).

Stile (= style):

  • elegante (smart);

  • comodo (comfortable);
  • sportivo (athletic);

  • classico (classic);
  • eccentrico/stravagante (odd).

E alcuni verbi (= ans some verbs):

  • abbinare ( = to match);
  • abbottonare / sbottonare ( = to button up / to unbutton);
  • accorciare ( = to shorten);
  • allungare ( = to lengthen);
  • allargare ( = to widen);
  • stringere ( = to take in);
  • allacciare ( = to lace);
  • annodare / fare il nodo ( = to tie, to knot);
  • indossare ( = to wear);
  • infilare / infilarsi ( = to put on / to get into);
  • mettersi ( = to put on, to dress);
  • vestirsi ( = to get dressed);
  • vestirsi bene/con gusto ( = to dress well/tastefully);
  • cambiarsi ( = to get changed);
  • slacciare ( = to untie);
  • sfilarsi ( = to slip off);
  • togliersi ( = to take off);
  • svestirsi / spogliarsi ( = to get undressed, to take your clothes off).
